about us

Generational Impact

The Friends of Youth Future, a non-profit organization registered in Tanzania, operates within the Burunge Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in the northern region of the country. The organization is strategically positioned to safeguard the Kwakuchinja corridor, a significant migratory pathway that links the Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks, preserving an essential ancient route for wildlife movement and conservation efforts within the region.

MISSION AND VISION

Our mission is to work in partnership with key stakeholders to conserve the Tarangire and Manyara ecosystems while simultaneously empowering local communities.

We are committed to protecting the region’s endangered wildlife and working to make a life-changing difference in the lives of the people living in the ten villages surrounding the corridor. It is here that we are able to directly foster sustainable development by building lasting relationships that support conservation, education, and community engagement projects.

WHAT WE’RE WORKING ON

Anti-poaching

Putting wildlife protection first
We provide backing to a collaborative anti-poaching unit composed of rangers. Additionally, we establish mobile anti-poaching camps that traverse the concession region by both foot and vehicle for the purpose of surveying and safeguarding wildlife.

Wildlife Monitoring and Research

To conserve and protect the region’s natural resources, our patrol team uses the SMART data collection system to record accurate and reliable data on all movements and incidents to curb illegal activities in the Kwakuchinja Corridor.
